Whether you are going on a date or you have a big event, finding ways to make your lips look fuller can make all the difference to your appearance.
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need to put yourself through the ordeal of injections to achieve plump lips. In fact, going down the natural route is better for your health and your wallet.
Here are seven easy ways to make your lips look fuller.
Start With A Balm
As a gentle base before starting with any other products, I recommend using a good lip balm for added hydration, especially in the winter. Let the balm sit on the lips for about five minutes before moving onto the next step. Also, use products made with natural ingredients, because they are better and do not contain substances that damage the lips.
What natural lip balm you should choose? Well, for me Victoria’s Secret Soothing Lip Balm is the best! This lip balm moisturises lips with ingredients like ultra-emollient lanolin, coconut oil and sunflower oil, and seals in hydration with beeswax.
I love that it feels very comfortable on the lips, and does not feel too oily or slippery while being moisturising at the same time. I always apply this lip balm underneath liquid lipsticks, as it makes them much more comfortable to wear.
Exfoliation removes the dead skin cells and evens out the lip tone. So, lips look fresh, smooth, and reddish. You can either use homemade lip scrubs or ready-made ones. But, homemade lip scrubs are more efficient and natural. I will show you some homemade scrubs and how to exfoliate dry lips with them.
Sugar is one of the most efficient and natural exfoliators to scrub your lips at home. Take some sugar and a few blobs of olive oil in a small bowl. Continue to mix until you get a solid paste. Massage your lips with this exfoliator with a clean washcloth or fingertips in the circular motions. Remember, messaging should be soft.
Prime With Foundation Or Concealer
Before even adding colour, I suggest you to priming lips with foundation (the same way you would with your face) to act as a base, help with smoother lipstick application, and make the lip product last a little longer. I like to use Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless concealer to fake a larger canvas.
This product is versatile, blends easily, and stays put all day. If you want your lipstick to stay longer on your lips, use Covergirl & Olay concealer. I like that now we have the chance to get free Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless samples. In this way, you can test this product, but for sure you will convince yourself that this is the best. Contouring can create a faux shadow to make your bottom lip look bigger and add dimension. With a bronzer or a darker neutral powder, lightly shade right below your lower lip line. Also, dab a little highlighter at the centre of your top lip.
Don’t Forget The Lip Liner
I know that you might not think that lip liner makes any difference, but it does!
You can make your lips look huge when you line them in lip liner. Also, lip liner can actually make your lipstick stay on so much longer and your lips look totally lush!
Pick a lip liner that is one to two shades darker than your natural lip colour. Then, line from your Cupid’s bow out to the corners of your mouth and taper the line down to meet up with your natural lip line. By using a lip liner that’s similar to your natural lip colour, it makes it look more realistic.
Don’t use Dark Lipstick
If you want to have lips that look bigger and fuller, avoid darker colours. Aside from being trickier to apply, dark colours flatten the appearance of your mouth. Opt for nudes or pale pinks to make your pout look naturally larger.
As a bonus, if you want to go for a cool ombre effect, I suggest applying a lighter lipstick shade on the centre of your lips.
Use Lip Gloss
Remember those shimmery lip glosses you were drawn to as a teen? Well, these types of sparkly products make your lips look plumper by picking up natural light.
This is my favourite makeup tip to make lips look bigger. I use Nars lipgloss often and thanks to this product I receive a lot of compliments. This lipstick is a great option if you want a high-impact lip colour that isn’t too thick or drying.
This product feels amazing on the lips—it’s lightweight, creamy, and moisturising, and has a very pretty soft-shine finish that lasts for several hours.
I recommend this product because it is excellent. I know that is expensive, but a good option is to get some samples. In this way, you economize money and you can see if the product is what you want. I get Nars lipgloss from here and I received the products within 2 working days.
I encourage you to use Nars lipgloss because it is a good product and is exactly what we need in winter months.
