It has taken me years to learn specific techniques and develop my skills as a makeup artist.
There are a few tips I have picked up that that are very useful. I have learned that you don’t have to be a professional to apply makeup that looks beautiful and natural.
These tips and tricks will not only save you time – but will enhance your looks.
The secret to having a long-lasting lipstick
To keep lipstick from slipping, lightly coat lips with translucent powder or a similarly coloured powder blush or eyeshadow.
I’ll give you a tip. If you want a good powder, I suggest you MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing because this is the best choice that you can do.
MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder gives a silky finish and is transparent in colour, so never looks cakey or affects lipstick. It is one of Mac products that doesn’t disappoint me.
To convince you, I suggest you these MAC free samples to try the product. It is very important to try the product, before purchasing, to see if it is what are you looking for.

Powder on lashes
A little bit of baby powder on your lashes before you put on your mascara can transform the thickness of your lashes. Just a small dusting of powder before a couple of coats of mascara will provide you with a noticeable difference in the thickness of your lashes.
Best tips to get rid of facial redness
Although there’s been no scientific research validating cucumber’s effect on facial redness, it has been documented as a natural home remedy for hundreds of years. For best results, grate a cucumber or put it through a food processor to use as a face mask. For added cooling, use a cucumber straight from the fridge.
Also, if you want to treat this problem and you’re not home, and to prevent new redness in the future I recommend you to use anti-redness skin cream. This cream reduces the visible appearance of redness, calms and reduces the inflammation of the skin. I always had problems with redness, and after I was using an anti-redness cream, I saw a significant improvement in my skin. If you have redness on your skin, I recommend you to try an anti-redness product.
We all know we’re supposed to replace our mascara tubes every three to four months, but let’s face it: Most of the time the liquid dries out long before it’s time to toss. If you find yourself in this situation, just put a few drops of Visine into your mascara. This will help break up the clumps, and your mascara will be working like new until you get the chance to replace it.
Finding the right mascara can be daunting. Will it clump? Will it flake? Will it smear midday? Will it transfer onto my eyelids? Thankfully, we have a lot of options, and it is impossible not to find something good for us.
If you are looking to find the perfect mascara, I recommend you Mac False Lashes Extreme. I bought this in the waterproof version and am very happy with it. By no means do my lashes look false however it is truly waterproof and does not smudge or rub off which most mascaras do. It is perfect for summer, especially if you love to go to the beach.
First, I received a sample and really liked this. Then, I bought it. And now, Mac False Lashes Extreme is my favourite.
If you are curious to test this, you can apply for this free samples. This product is both lengthening and volumizing—and leaves your lashes looking awesome.
I am sure that these samples will convince you that Mac False Lashes Extreme is the best!
By mixing your moisturiser and concealer, it serves as an excellent setting and holds onto the face for a longer amount of time. It’ll also cut down your morning beauty routine time in half. But don’t forget that incorrect application or using the wrong concealer formula can actually draw more attention to the area you’re trying to cover up.
Choosing the right concealer is essential. I like very much Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless. The combination of the Olay moisturiser with the concealer is fantastic! If you have dark circles under eyes, Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless is the best solution for your problem.
Use business cards to create eyeliner stencils
I learned this trick in makeup school, and I have been using it ever since. I use a business card to create sharper defined lines for my eyeshadow when I am looking for something a bit more dramatic. This trick works great for creating a cat eye effect.
Turn a pencil eyeliner into a gel formula with the help of a match or lighter
Hold your black, green, burgundy, etc., kohl eye pencil (which typically creates a thin, harder-to-apply line), under the flame for one second, let it cool for 15 seconds, and then watch the consistency change right before your eyes. Finally, glide on your newly made gel liner for an instantly smudgier formula.
The line saver
I always have to check my eyeliner because sometimes it starts to stray from where it was placed, especially in the summer months.
Certain eyeliners are more prone to this, especially those that aren’t waterproof, but I don’t like using waterproof makeup because it’s so darn hard to get off.
I always feel like I am ripping my lashes off in the removal process. To keep your liner behaving, sweep loose or pressed powder right underneath the eyeliner on your bottom lid.
It creates somewhat of a barrier, preventing your eyeliner from travelling downward.
Map the contours of your face with a gel eyebrow pencil, since it’s easier to apply precisely and blend in
Mark the areas you want to contour — the hollows under your cheekbones, your temples, along with your hairline, jawline, the sides of your nose, the tip of the nose, and the crease of your eyes — with an intensely coloured brow gel pencil.
Brow gel pencils are really concentrated, yet very smudgeable, and it’s easy to control the placement of their dark pigment, making them perfect for contouring. Next, use an all-over cream highlighter on the tops of your cheekbones, on the centre of your forehead, the bridge of your nose, the centre of your chin, and on your Cupid’s bow.
There is a lot of creativity when we talk about makeup. Why? One reason is that makeup can do miracles for your skin. It can make a wide nose look thinner, can create an illusion of a natural face lift and can get you an even, poreless photo-ready skin in few minutes.
These tricks have helped me in much stressful beauty situations. So, I think that every woman, no matter your age, location or beauty style, should know these tips. Also, I recommend you to try these MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing free samples because the product is perfect. I am sure that you will love it.
